The Reason Why the Dinosaurs Disappeared

What is your explanation for the extinction of dinosaurs? The extinction of dinosaurs is a mystery that continues to plague scientists. Obviously, there are no dinosaurs in the world today, but people are still fascinated by the subject. No one knows exactly what caused the extinction of the dinosaurs about 65 million years ago. Many scientists have wanted to know the reason why the dinosaurs disappeared, and there are lots of hypothesis about the death of the dinosaurs. Among them, I’d like to introduce the three main causes of the dinosaurs’ extinction: impact of a meteorite, volcanic eruptions, and the Ice Age.

Some scientists think the dinosaurs were wiped out by the impact of a huge meteorite from space. A meteorite at least 10km across hit the Earth 65 million years ago. The meteorite exploded with the force of thousands of atomic bombs.  Then, the explosion sent a cloud of dust up into the air, blocking out the Sun’s light and warmth. Many plants died from lack of sunlight. Plant-eating dinosaurs starved to death, and meat-eaters that fed on them followed.

Others believe that volcanic eruptions were the cause of the extinction of the dinosaurs. In the Late Cretaceous period, there was an enormous amount of volcanic activity. Even a small volcanic eruption could cause a change in a region’s climate. These eruptions threw vast quantities of ash and dust into the air. The ash and dust blocked out the sunlight and caused many plants to die. As a result, the dinosaurs died out. Therefore, some scientists believe that the death of the dinosaurs may have been caused by volcanoes, not a meteorite.

Finally, some scientists think that coming of the Ice Age was the cause of the death of the dinosaurs. In the late Cretaceous period, the Ice Age had already started. So, the temperature slowly dropped all over the world. The dinosaurs couldn’t change their body temperature because they were not a cold-blooded animal, but a homoeothermic animal. Consequently, the dinosaurs couldn’t adopt a change in a region’s climate and became extinct.

All in all, after ruling the Earth for more than 150 million years, the dinosaurs mysteriously died out at the end of the Cretaceous period about 65 million years ago. No one exactly knows the reason of the dinosaurs’ extinction. But, many scientists are studying the dinosaurs now, and I think that they will disclose the secret of the dinosaurs’ extinction, someday very soon.

Two Disney Theme Parks in the United States

Do you know where children’s most favorite place is in U.S.A.? The result is very interesting. Disney Land and Disney World always compete for first and second place in U.S.A. Both Disney Land and Disney World not only are established by Walt Disney but also have the same characters such as Mickey Mouse and his friends. In spite of these similarities, there are lots of differences between Disney Land and Disney World.
The location is the first difference. Disney Land is located in Anaheim, California, but the Disney World is located in Olando, Florida. Because they are located in opposite location from each other, people, who want to go to Disney theme park, are equally divided with Disney Land and Disney World.
The second difference is when they were established. Disney Land was established in 1955, whereas Disney World was established in 1971. After Walt Disney succeed at Disney Land, he planned another Disney theme park. The second theme park is Disney World.
The third difference is the scale. Both Disney Land and Disney World have several main theme parks, but Disney World’s scale is larger than Disney Land. Disney Land is 960in extent, but  Disney World is 111,100 in extent. In addition, Disney Land is composed of two main theme parks, but Disney World is composed of four main theme parks. Therefore, Disney World has more various and fun rides than Disney Land.
In conclusion, it is sure that Disney Land and Disney World are really famous for theme park in the United States. There are lots of similarities between them, but there are also lots of differences. After people in the U.S.A considers differences between Disney Land and Disney World, they can choose where they want to go. They can have so much fun through two Disney theme parks.

Freedom

If I don’t have freedom, what will happen? I think that I would suffer from many things if I didn’t have freedom. I would not be able to have a job, house, food, and the other things in life I want. Therefore, I believe that freedom is a basic right for us in order to live as human beings.

When I was eight years old, there was a demonstration for Korea to get freedom from the government. People directly wanted to select the president of Korea, but the government didn’t permit it. In 1986, people in Seoul held a demonstration against the government, and some people died at that time.
Finally, we were able to take back freedom from the government through this demonstration. The government gave up forcing the people, and Koreans gained voting rights for the first time. In addition, Korea became a perfect democratic country, and we were able to breathe again as we took back our freedom. And now, I can have a lot of freedom in my life.

In conclusion, freedom is the most important right for us to live as human beings. Therefore, I believe that we have to protect this right forever.

How To Give a Newborn Baby a Bath

Most mothers delivered of a child think that bathing a newborn baby is difficult because newborn babies can’t control their bodies, and the mother panics for she doesn’t know how to bath her baby. So, many mothers find another person who will give their baby a bath instead of bathing them by themselves. But, it is very easy if you follow the next steps.
First of all, you have to prepare everything ahead of time because your baby is a newborn, and you should quickly give a bath. Fill two bath tubs with warm water about 40°c. Then, put the shampoo within easy reach, and spread a large towel nearby the bath tub.
Next, it’s time to wash your baby’s hair. At this time, you have to put your arm around a baby’s neck and shoulders to support baby because the baby can’t support his/her neck by him/herself. Then, lightly wash your baby’s face and hair with a soft gaze.
After washing the baby’s face and hair, you can start to give a bath in earnest. Because you don’t want your baby to be surprised, slowly dip the baby in the bath tub. Then, prop your baby’s back against your left arm, and hold the baby in your left arm. After you do this, softly wash your baby’s belly, neck, arms, and legs with shampoo.
Then, it’s time to wash your baby’s back and hips. It seems to be difficult, but you can do it, easily. Put your baby’s chest on your right arm, and grip your baby’s left arm. This is really important. If you do it well, the next step will be really easy. It is to wash your baby’s back and hips with shampoo.
After shampooing, you should rinse your baby off. Move the baby to another bath tub already prepared, and cleanly rinse the baby off.
Now, it’s time to dry your baby. Let your baby lie down on a large towel, and swathe the baby in a soft small towel. Then, dry the baby pressing lightly.
Finally, after you apply powder or lotion to your baby’s body, dress the baby to go to sleep. You have done it all and now you are finished.
To sum up, if you give your baby a bath as mentioned above, you will be a responsible mother who washes her baby by herself. The first time you try this, you may feel nervous, but after you practice these steps a little, you will be able to do it perfectly. It’s up to you now. Good luck to you!

What I did in my free time when I was young.

When I was young, my favorite season was winter.
Even though I lived in the city, I would go to my grandmother's house that was in the contryside in every winter vacation. I liked winter very much because I could do some activities that I would not ba able to do in other seasons.
The sled was something that I enjoyed very much during winter.
Speeding down the steep mountain covered with snow was a spectacular activity.
At that time, my sled was a plastic bag, for it was lots of years ago.
